Hello!

You may be wondering why this blog is so very empty. Maybe not. Either way, I shall endeavour to share my thought process with you because you are following me and presumably that indicates some level of interest in these things.

I’m new to this whole world, despite having been fascinated by it ever since I was young. Excessive concern for the judgements of others along with a tenacious grip on the scientific method has thus far prevented me from exploring as much as I would like. This blog represents my attempts to catalogue the information I find most relevant to my experience.

Rather than simply reblogging every post I find interesting, I’ve saved over a hundred posts as drafts and will reblog them as I approach that subject in my studies.

Right now I’m focused on the creation of the neo-pagan faiths and sources for the various beliefs so that I can build a practice that I feel is both inclusive and respectful of others. I don’t believe that youth should be a mark against one’s faith, so I have no problem acknowledging the fact that most of the neo-pagan beliefs aren’t more than a hundred years old at most. I am, however, going to look askance at folks who insist on it being some sort of resurrected Ancient Religion that has been hidden away and persecuted due to the influence of Big Mean Christianity. Not only is that position somewhat ahistorical, but I feel like it unnecessarily defines us as what we are not as much as what we are.

I have no interest in worshipping any Divine figures, so I’m pretty certain I’m not Wiccan, but thus far it’s been difficult to separate witchcraft, paganism, and Wicca in the resources I’ve found. If anyone has any resources that fit what I’m looking for, I’d be extremely grateful.

All that said, I’m glad to have anyone here who wishes to be here, and I welcome our future discussions!
